Lynda & Neil’s Rent to Own Journey

About 5 years ago my husband sustained a work place injury and was no longer able to remain in his job, we had no choice but to sell our family home. We entered the private housing market and lived in various houses trying to find our new home.

My husband became self employed and we decided to try for a mortgage. Long gone were the days or easy mortgages for self employed people and with me only working part time, it was a non starter, we could not get a mortgage. My friend mentioned to me about Rent to Own, I immediately researched it and made the appointment to meet with one of their advisers.

At first, my husband thought it was a joke as it seemed to good to be true, although he came to the first meeting, he still wasn’t sure what we were getting into. The initial adviser was so nice and explained everything, I left feeling hopeful. Then we were approved and began house hunting. It was amazing being able to find “our” house, pick the kitchen, tiles, carpets and blinds, we were making our family home. Getting the keys to the house was the most amazing feeling! Finally we gad security for our family.

Every step of the way, Own Co were their to help, check in in us and answer any and all of my questions. I would recommend anyone to go for it and have recommended the scheme to everyone!

With any luck, we are hoping to buy our house in the next few months.
