Kerry Welcomes Co-Ownership
Wednesday 2 May 2012
Owner Kerry McMullan welcomed staff from Co-Ownership Housing at her home in Mallusk recently.
Kerry moved in a year and a half ago when she bought her new build property with the help of the Co-Ownership scheme. Visiting were members of the Co-Ownership client teams working with applicants and home owners.
As a canny first time buyer, Kerry, 29, did her homework before coming to Co-Ownership. Kerry says ‘I’m thrilled with how things have worked out. I shared a house with other girls before and to be able to go home and close the door and to know the house is mine – the difference is priceless’.
Pat Gorman, Applications Officer, adds ‘I remember Kerry well from helping with her application and I really appreciate meeting her again now that she has settled into her beautiful home. Kerry has really put her own stamp on things and made it her own.’
As part of the Co-Ownership service every home buyer receives a welcome visit and a listening ear from Housing staff. Louise Tully, Housing Officer, said ‘It is an important part of what Co-Ownership is about, knowing there is always someone at the end of the phone to help with any questions.’
Co-Ownership provides an information service for anyone hoping to buy a home as well as for people who have already bought their home using Co-Ownership. Contact Co-Ownership Housing direct on 028 9032 7276 or visit www.co-ownership.org.
