More than 60 companies in Northern Ireland took part in Translink’s #GetOnBoardNI Corporate Challenge during Bus + Train Week 2017, which was held in June. After facing tough competition from other public sector organizations, Co-Ownership Housing was recognized as the ‘Public Sector Champion’ for its promotion of this initiative within its organization at the awards ceremony held in September.

This event is part of the second annual Bus + Train Week, which is an initiative highlighting the importance of public transport and the vital role it plays in supporting economic growth and social inclusion while delivering energy efficiency and ‘low carbon’ mobility in Northern Ireland.

Co-Ownership is fully committed to its duty to Social Responsibility with a key focus on the organization’s environmental impact. Through initiatives such as these, the organization aims to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment through encouraging behaviours and introducing initiatives that minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
