The making improvements policy differs for Co-Own, Co-Own for Over 55s and Rent to Own.
If you are a Co-Own customer you only need to contact us if you are thinking of making a structural change such as building a garage or extension. Please be aware that the cost of making improvements to your property is not the same as adding value. For example, a new kitchen may cost you £7,000 but may only add £3,000 to the value of your home.
If you are a Co-Own for Over 55s customer, your new home should be suitable for your needs now without immediate adaptation and you only need to contact us if you are thinking of making a structural change such as building a garage or extension.
As the property for a Rent to Own customer is a new build, we would not authorise any improvements to be carried out. Please contact us about any maintenance issues that need to be resolved.
