Proof of income

For your Co-Own or Rent to Own application to be completed and progressed as quickly as possible, please have the following information to hand before you start your application (required for both applicants). It’s not necessary to have a job to be eligible for Co-Own for Over 55s, however if you do, the following also applies.

Proof of income differs for Co-Own, Co-Own for Over 55s and Rent to Own.

For Co-Own we require the following:

  • The last 3 months’ payslips for all employment
  • The last 3 months’ bank statements
  • The last 3 years tax calculation summaries (SA302s) & corresponding tax year overviews where self-employed. For company directors we will also require your last 3 months’ payslips.

For Co-Own for Over 55s we require the following:

  • The last 3 months’ payslips for all employment (where employed)
  • The last 3 months’ bank statements
  • The tax calculation summaries (SA302s) for the last full year & corresponding tax year overviews where self-employed. For company directors we will also require your last 3 months’ payslips.
  • Proof of pension if currently in receipt of a pension.

For Rent to Own we require the following:

  • The last 3 months’ payslips for all employment (where employed)
  • The last 3 months’ bank statements
  • The last year’s tax calculation summaries (SA302) & corresponding tax year overviews where self-employed. You will also need to have been trading with no breaks for at least the last 3 months. For company directors we will also require your last 3 months’ payslips.

For all three products we will also require the following:

  • Photographic ID
  • Proof of current address
  • Residency documentation
  • Proof of savings e.g. savings statements
  • Proof of any other income e.g. benefit award letters
